Yondover Farm is owned by Gina and Mike Butler. We are located in North East Tasmania. Tasmania is the southernmost state of Australia and is known for its vast wilderness areas, laid back lifestyle and healthy environment. Yondover Farm is set on 175 acres of rolling green hills surrounded by forests. The farm is home to our family, and 380 dairy goats and goatlings and 8 very happy billy goats. Mike runs Yondover Goat Dairy, this is a commercial goat dairy producing over 140 000 litres of goat milk each year. We established the dairy 5 years ago. This involved building a specially designed 10 aside swing over herringbone goat milking facility which allows us to milk 300 plus goats within 3 hours. Our goats walk up ramps onto a platform for milking, this makes the milking easier for us as the work height is waist height. Goats are kind on milkers! They never poop or wee when on the milking platform and if they inadvertently step on your foot there is no damage done! They enjoy being milked and form a very close attachment to their human friends.
